What format does the export option use to encode the videos? I've done a couple of exports on the MacOS version and they show up as Quicktime files but they cannot be opened by any application that I tried (Quicktime Player, VLC, Compressor, After Effects, etc.).
Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it is a bug in the software.
We are aware of a bug like the one you mentioned when exporting without audio. It should work with audio included in export. Either way let me know.
Awesome! That did the trick. I had unchecked "Include Audio" because I had no audio in the scene. Once I checked that box it exported correctly. I notice that once I checked the box it went through a second pass labeled "Exporting Audio" or something like that. My guess is when that box is unchecked it neglects to include an audio track in the Quicktime file but the way the Quicktime is written/closed it is expecting to see an audio track.
Either way, thanks for the quick response and helping me fix the issue!
Keep up the good work!
The reason it works with audio is actually because the audio pass gives the video time to finish encoding. The bug is that I am moving the video too quickly, often before the encoder is finished. I need to wait for the encoder to finish, THEN move the file to the desired location.
